Sayed Ullah’s Biography
Sayed Ullah, is a Rohingya human rights activist, genocide survivor, and the founder of the Rohingya Student Network (RSN). Born in Myanmar and forced to flee to Bangladesh during the 2017 military crackdown, he spent seven years in the world’s largest refugee camp before becoming the first Rohingya refugee to be admitted directly from a camp to New York University (NYU), where he studies International Studies.
Sawyeddollah has led youth empowerment initiatives across all 33 Rohingya camps in Bangladesh, advocated for justice for Rohingya, and filed a whistleblower complaint against Meta for its alleged role in amplifying hate during the genocide. A laureate of the 2023 Young Activists Summit and a finalist for the Kofi Annan Next Generation Democracy Prize 2023, he continues to raise global awareness on statelessness, refugee rights, and education access for marginalized communities.”
