Josephine Ali’s Biography
Josephine Ali is a Women’s Program Coordinator at Muslim Community Network
(MCN).
Prior to joining MCN, Josephine spent four years at American Express working on
internal communications, supporting executive leadership reach global colleague
audiences. At Amex, Josephine was a member of the PEACE Network, an affinity group
for Muslim colleagues. As the Communications Lead for PEACE, she spearheaded
internal communications and programming for all chapters globally. Before American
Express, Josephine spent eight years at Bank of America, working in several roles that
included corporate events, internal and executive communications, campus recruiting
and more.
In addition to her day job, Josephine has been volunteering with Folk Arts Rajasthan
(FAR) for the last 11 years. FAR is local nonprofit that educates and empowers Muslim
folk musicians in Jaisalmer, India, while preserving their musical legacy.
Josephine holds a BS from Syracuse University in Public Relations with a minor in
South Asian Studies. She is a native New Yorker, growing up in Queens and Manhattan
as the eldest daughter of immigrants from Bangladesh. Outside of work, you can find
her reading, taking a Pilates class, trying a new restaurant, thrifting, soaking up
sunshine, exploring the greatest city in the world and generally chasing things that bring
her joy.
