
Fatoumata Thiam's Biography
Fatoumata joined the Muslim Community Network as the Civic Leadership Youth Coordinator. Originally from Senegal, she immigrated to New York City in 2009. Passionate about youth development—particularly for young girls—she is committed to supporting the growth and empowerment of future generations.
She earned her undergraduate degree in Political Science and Public Policy from The City College of New York. In 2018, Fatoumata founded the Noko-Boku Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing educational resources to elementary schools in villages and rural communities.
An advocate for mental health awareness, children’s rights, and climate change, Fatoumata has also served as an instructor for the John Jay Upward Bound program, where she taught courses on Humanitarian Development and the United Nations Agenda.
Fatoumata is excited to be part of the Muslim Community Network and looks forward to empowering youth through civic leadership.
