Fellows from MYNYC went on a day trip to city hall, hosted by CM Shahana Hanif's Office and CM Pierina Sanchez. CM Hanifs Leigslative Fellow provided a brief presentation on the role of city council in passing bills, how CM Hanif became the first muslim woman council member, and what values guide their offices work. We then went on a tour of City Hall before joining CM Sanchez's team for a rally for City FEPS. After, we sat in on a council hearing.
