MCN’s Executive Director Husein Yatabarry and Board President Dr. Debbie Almontaser joined Governor Kathy Hochul in Albany for the state’s Iftar gathering during Ramadan. The evening brought together Muslim leaders, advocates, and public officials to reflect on the spirit of the holy month while recognizing the contributions of Muslim New Yorkers across the state. Moments like this remind us that representation matters and that Muslim voices belong in every room where decisions about our communities are being made.
